Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the USA, Panda Garden Children’s Center is implementing preventative measures to minimize potential risk. We understand that some of these measures may seem like too much, but the health and safety of our students is the first priority. Each of these policies are created with the sole purpose of risk mitigation of COVID-19. We hope that we can return to our normal programming safely in the future.
Small group plan We separate the children and teachers into groups in order to stop the potential spread of the Virus.
Staying Home when Appropriate Staff and families about when they/their child(ren) should not come to the child care program: · Staff and children should stay home if they are sick or have recently had close contact with a person with COVID-19. · Staff and children should stay home if they have tested positive for or are showing symptoms of COVID-19.
Respiratory Etiquette and Hand Hygiene Upon arrival, teachers will disinfect kids' shoes with rubbing alcohol and wash kids’ hands with liquid soap and water, Teach and reinforce hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and increase monitoring to ensure adherence among all children and stuffs. Children’s hands will be washed or hand sanitized frequently during the school day
Facility Hygiene High-contact areas will be disinfected after each use (tables, beds, toys, toilet seats, chairs, door knobs, etc.) Classrooms will be disinfected regularly throughout the day. We will deep clean all the toys, indoor and outdoor facilities after the kids leave school every day.
Practicing social distance Parents are not allowed to come inside the school (to minimize exposure to other children and teachers) Parent’s drop-offs and pickups must be quick, Respect social distancing rules (At least 6 ft in distance between people who do not reside together) Children are taught and encouraged consistently to refrain from the following actions: high-fives, hugs, kisses, touching their own faces or faces of their friends, being in less than an arm’s reach distance from friends Families and staff are encouraged to limit outings to crowded areas to minimize risk to our community.
Wearing masks All staff and children who are older than 24 months are required to wear masks the whole time at the school except when eating and at nap time. Parents are required to a wear mask when dropping off or picking up their children.
